Our story begins with Mr. Luu Meng
Our story begins with Mr. Luu Meng, a distinguished figure in the culinary world of Cambodia. Drawing inspiration from his grandmother, who cooked in the Royal Palace, and his mother, who nurtured his passion for food, Luu Meng has crafted a remarkable culinary journey. After honing his skills in some of Southeast Asia’s finest restaurants for a decade, he returned to Cambodia and gained invaluable experience at the Sofitel Hotel (now Hotel Cambodiana) in Phnom Penh.
As a passionate ambassador for Cambodian culinary heritage, Luu Meng actively promotes the country’s rich food culture on a global scale through trade shows and culinary events organized by the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism and the Chefs Association. He is a strong advocate for sourcing fresh, local ingredients and participates in food and agricultural exhibitions, representing his homeland on international platforms.
Through these experiences, the legacy of Almond Hospitality was born, embodying excellence and a deep appreciation for Cambodia’s culinary traditions.
